I am not crazy about talking to new web developers about being “full stack developers”. When ppl are trying to land their first job are they really going to land one as a Full Stack Dev (FSD). In my mind a FSD is very senior…and even then you still have folks that focus on front end vs back end.

I do some welding and machine work (lathe/mill) and my old machinist instructor once said “I don’t know any good machinist that doesn’t know a little welding…and I don’t know any good welder that doesn’t know a little machining”. Same with web dev…I don’t know any good front end does that doesn’t know how to spin up a LAxx stack…and I don’t know any good sysadmin that doesn’t know a little code
